Club History

Thanks to the efforts of long serving member Neville Grady, the history of the  Mowbray Golf Club is presented here for your perusal in a series of volumes or communiques as he likes to call them.

Including all relevant references from a wide range of written sources and personal accounts from families long associated with the Club in this amazingly detailed passion project , Mr Grady’s account includes wider information about yester-year golf in Launceston as well as the finer details of the birth, relocation and growth of MGC.

The Club is indebted to Mr Grady for the long hours spent perusing old news articles and interviewing those in the know. We encourage you to keep checking back here for future chapters. Who knows, you might even learn something about the Club that you can use to your advantage in our next Trivia Night!
